Cable Wakeboard - Implementation in EMS in February 2025

Cable Wakeboard will be implemented in EMS in February 2025 (exact date will be confirmed later separately). For those already using EMS, the processes will be the same as for the other disciplines. The Federations will need to check their Cable Riders’ data after the migration from Cablewakeboard.net to EMS and invite them to become EMS users. The migration will include copying the following historical data from Cablewakeboard.net to EMS: Competitions details, participations and results, competition sites, profiles of the Riders having participated in a competition and profiles of the Officials.

A new Scoring System named SCORE NOW will also be introduced.

All Cable Riders will need an IWWF License to participate in 3- to 6-Stars competitions as from February 2025, similar to the other disciplines.

After implementation in EMS the Riders will not be able to register to competitions in Cablewakeboard.net anymore and the Event Organisers will have to register their new competitions directly in EMS. Thank you for your understanding.

Rob Pijpers emscablewakeboard@gmail.com is replacing Felix Schneider as the Cable Wakeboard Administrator. He will coordinate the implementation (migration activities from Cablewakeboard.net, training, support and information of the Federations, Riders and Event Organisers, training of the Scorers for the new Scoring System, etc.). Rob is a Cable Wakeboard Scorer. He speaks Dutch, English and German and is looking forward to working with the Federations for a successful implementation of Cable Wakeboard in EMS. Waterski - Reminder for the skiers who participate in Tournaments in the USA

Very important reminder for your skiers! To participate in waterski tournaments in the USA, they need a USD25 yearly unlimited IWWF license. USD 7 single competition IWWF licenses are not accepted for USA competitions. They are also responsible for making sure that their Federation code and Country ID number are correctly updated in the US membership system. They should not ski under a US Waterski ID number but under their Country ID number:

Waterski - Homologation dossiers to be uploaded to EMS

According to the World Waterski Rules it is mandatory since 2024 that the Scorers upload the Homologation Dossiers of their competitions to EMS. The dossiers can be uploaded in “hom” or “pdf” format from the tab “Attachments” in EMS competition details and stored in the folder “Other”. For the other Sport Disciplines it is optional.

New Athlete or Official - Reminder to the Federation Administrators

When creating a new Athlete or Official in EMS, check first on the EMS home page (public section) whether he/she is not already existing or registered under another country. If he/she is registered under another country, please contact the Global EMS Administrator Bernhard Kosch b.p.kosch@gmail.com to clarify the situation.

Jury Panel - “Accept button” on the competition details screen

It happens that Officials invited to a Jury Panel forget to accept their invitation. The Chef Judge/Chief Scorer and their Assistants, as well as the Organiser and the Discipline Administrators can now accept Officials’ participations on the EMS competition details/jury panel screen through the “Accept button”. It is important that all Jury members present at a competition are marked “accepted”. Otherwise, their participation will not appear on the competition details available for the public and also not considered in the future Officials’ tracking system (under development).

EMS Finances online payment functions

·       The activation of the Finances function is only possible when no participants are registered and/or the registration to the competition is not open. If participants are already registered and you want to activate the Finances function, you need to contact the Global EMS Administrator, Bernhard Kosch b.k.kosch@gmail.com

·       When the Finances function is activated, it is mandatory to create a price list

·       When the settings “Pop-up Windows” and/or “Use of Images” are blocked in the browser it can create problems accessing Finances function. I that case, you must deactivate the blocking.

New functionalities available in EMS

·       For Waterski USA, the US tournament national code now appears on the Event Calendar and Competition Details

·       Excel Export competition details: The participants are now listed in the Excel sheet in one row with all registered events and no more in a row per Event

·       The competitions of the discipline Show Ski can now be registered on the IWWF Calendar in EMS

·       And coming soon…. A new Waterski ranking list, management of the Intentions to Enter for titled events, participation lists to competitions visible in the public section… and much more.
